Our Mission & Vision

Our vision and mission is to help connect people to Christ.

We believe the Bible is the foundation of the truth and because of this God continues to grow our church into a spiritually strong group of believers.

Meet Our Pastor

Thank you for visiting our website. As the pastor of Crossing Christian Church I want to personally invite you to be a part of what God is doing here. You will be lifted up and encouraged with every service. I can say that with confidence because we know God is in total control of everything.

I am blessed to have my family involved in the ministry as well. My amazing wife, Sandy, does more for the church than I can write about. We consider all who attend Crossing Christian Church a part of our family and it’s always our goal to welcome every person, of every race, nationality and background to join the family here.

A recent visitor to our church said, with tears welling up in her eyes, “I felt the love as soon as I walked in here.” That love makes up every member of Crossing Christian Church. I can honestly say I’ve never been a part of such a loving and giving group of people. If you haven’t joined us for a service yet, please visit soon. Please call and let me know if you have any questions and I would be glad to meet or talk with you.

Our Story

When The Crossing began in 2004, we met at an elementary school. We then graduated to a shopping center store front. From there we ventured into an industrial park. It’s there we turned a warehouse into a church in 21 days. We had members of the community who heard about what we were doing stop in to lend a helping hand.

In 2017 we were finally able to purchase our current location in Greenville, IN. Nobody knew what this location would do for the ministry at the Crossing. It has been one blessing after another.

We love to join together every Sunday and worship our Lord. But it’s more than about just meeting together it’s about coming each week to grow in our faith and encourage each other in a chaotic world.

Unity

The Crossing is a “Come as you are” church. It’s from there each person is welcomed a part of the Crowd. Once a person gets acquainted with our services and love for the Lord and each other, they become a part of the Congregation. As the heart of a person is changed and growing in their faith they get involved and become a part of the Core and start serving the Community.

Love

We are a church of love, so everyone is welcome regardless of their past, their reputation, or their social status. All we ask is that you come with an open heart and mind to receive what God wants you to hear. As it says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

That person becomes a brand new person inside and lives it on the outside.

Salvation

We believe the moment a person has a “true” heart change, repents of their sins, we believe what the Bible says in Romans 10:13 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

It’s at that same moment the Holy Spirit enters into and dwells in a person and their new life begins.

Eternity

We believe that once a person “truly” accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior they are now on their way to heaven. We beleive what Jesus said in John 14: 2-3 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

We believe there is one heaven and one hell and based on a person’s belief, when they die, they will go to one of the two places.

“We encourage the unity of all Followers and believe this unity can be achieved when the love for Christ is greater than love for man-made traditions. We do not claim to be the only Followers, but strive to be Followers only.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you believe that God is Creator and Ruler of the universe?

Yes! We believe that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit has always existed. We believe He created everything for His purpose. We believe the world was created in six days and God rested on the seventh. Although God never rests.

Do you believe that the entire Bible is from God?

Yes! The Bible was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe it is God-breathed and every word of the Bible is, as Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:16“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”

Do you believe everyone should be baptized?

Yes! After a person has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, baptism is a way to publicly express our new life in Christ. We do this, also as a step of obedience, based on God’s commands. It allows us to follow the example of Jesus. Matthew 3:16-17 “16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

Do you believe Jesus is God’s Son?

Yes! We believe Jesus coexisted with God in heaven before He was sent by the Father to earth to do God’s will. Jesus said He and the Father are One. We also believe what it says in John 3:16 that “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

We believe that Jesus is now existing back with the Father, waiting to return to earth and claim what rightfully belongs to Him.

Do you believe Jesus was resurrected?

Yes! If it were not so, there wouldn’t need to be a church service. Jesus died and was buried and on the third day rose from the grave and is now seated next to God the Father in heaven. His death and resurrection made a way for all those who believe to be with Him in heaven. John 14:6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Do you believe we are all children of God?

No! We believe we are all created by God, but unless one comes to faith in Jesus they do not have the right to be called children of God as it says in John 1:12-13“12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”

Please let us know if you have any other questions that were not answered here. It’s our goal to engage with everyone’s questions with Biblical truth. It’s a “The Truth” in which we, as a church, stand on, as our foundation.
