About Our Services

Our services begin at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday morning.

Crossing Kids & Students

Our church participates in family worship. Families are encouraged to worship together at the beginning of our service. We feel it is important for children to witness and experience a meaningful worship time by observing the adults in their lives doing so! During this time, and throughout the service, we offer a Family Room, equipped with sound, for any disruptive moments a child may have. All youth are collectively dismissed after worship to go downstairs to their respective classes. Nursery aged children must be accompanied by an adult and checked in.

Crossing Nursery (Ages: Birth to Pre-K)

(Birth to Pre-K):
Our friendly nursery staff is ready to welcome the littlest members of your family to sing, play and enjoy snack during the remainder of the service. Please accompany your child downstairs, check them in to the nursery room and provide the teacher with important information pertaining to your child. You will pick up your child after service and check out with the nursery teachers. You will be notified if your child is not enjoying their time in class.

Crossing Kids (Elementary)

Kindergarten through 4th grade students are invited to participate in an engaging, faith-filled time of learning, service and play. Elementary students are taught biblical lessons and engaged in dialogue, activities and games to fortify what they have learned. Elementary aged students can be dropped off by parents or self-checked-in, but they need to be signed out of their classroom by parents at the end of service. First time participants should be checked in and an information sheet obtained.

Crossing Youth (Middle & High School)

Our Middle & High School students meet separately but engage in similarly formatted lessons that feature biblical principles tailored to their specific age groups. These foundational principles lay the ground work for students to remain in, and defend, their faith throughout their pre-teen to young adult lives.

Bible Teaching

We believe what Paul writes in 2 Timothy 3:16 that “all Scripture is God-breathed.”

Thousands of people have died a martyrs death believing in the Bible and professing it’s truths. It’s difficult to understand how so many would die for something that wasn’t true and real. At Crossing Christian Church we have seen many lives changed because of the Word of God and it’s teachings.

We believe each and every word written in the Bible has been directed by the Holy Spirit. Man was used by God through the power of the Holy Spirit to write the very life-changing words within each book.

The Bible has made claims to prophecies and truths that have made unbelieving scientists become believers.

We’re not to believe the Bible merely because it tells us to but because of the supernatural changes it has on people.

So many people have tried to prove the Bible wrong and attacks continue to happen against its truths but only fail in their efforts.

It’s our desire to speak the truth in love. Every message spoken never adds or takes away from the truth of His Holy Word.

Communion

Acts 20:7
“And on the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread.”

We believe that this verse clearly states that communion should be taken together as a church family on the 1st day (Sunday) of the week. We celebrate weekly communion and meditate on what Jesus did on the cross for us.

Tithe and Offerings

Paul states that believers should set aside a portion of their income as an offering, but this is not a tithe…

1 Corinthians: 16:1–2
“Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. 2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.”

It is common practice for believers to support the mission of the local church. Giving of ourselves and finances is considered a gift back to God for all He has done for us through His grace and forgiveness. We must always remember we can’t out–give God. But it blesses every person to try.

Praise and Worship

Psalm 145:3
“Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise…”

At Crossing Christian Church we celebrate God and all His goodness through praise and worship music. David of the Bible not only wrote songs and music but he also played and made instruments. We believe in various styles of worship and allow the freedom to worship God any way the follower feels lead.

Baptism and the Holy Spirit

Romans 6:3
“Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?”

Paul states that when we have accepted Christ and His sacrifice on the cross and believe in Him, we crucify our old selves with Him and become a new creation. After the confession of faith and the receiving of the Holy Spirit has been accepted we celebrate in baptism. Baptism is by immersion, which is the definition of the Greek word for Baptism. Immersion in water, while it is Biblical and a way to identify ourselves with Christ, does not offer salvation. The believer has received salvation through the confession of faith and receiving of the Holy Spirit. Thus baptism is out of obedience only. Simply stated: we do it because Jesus did.

“We come each week with the understanding we are to take what we’ve learned inside the church, apply it to our lives, take it outside the church, and Connect the Community to Christ. We do that when we “Share the Love, Share the Word and Share the Lord.”
